Visiting Red Lodge, Day 4 {Sabbatical in Montana}

The day after our 15 hour drive through Yellowstone wasn't all that full. We were rather tired, even after sleeping in until 10am, and did a lot of sitting around reading and playing games. But we did visit Red Lodge that evening. Here we are after eating at a pizza restaurant, which was actually quite the treat for us. We rarely go out for much more than fast food all together since there's so many of us and it sure does get expensive quick.

Once Noah and Evie were done constructing roller coasters according to the rules, Ezra was allowed free rein on the new game and he quite enjoyed himself. Pay no attention to Terry blowing his trumpet nose. Ha!

Back to that evening eating at Red Lodge Pizza Co. It was just alright pizza but definitely a fun outing.

Afterwards was a classic car parade/show. Suzie had told me about it earlier in the day when I was asking for a some directions on Beartooth Highway. We had nothing going on so we thought we might as well eat out that night and be entertained afterwards. This old Fire Department car was sweet, especially its sirens.

Since Suzie's folks were driving one of their classic cars in the show, I posted a Facebook live video (on July 21, 2017 - in case I want to go back and watch it) so she could watch along with us. This old wagon was my favorite car in the show.

Suzie's parents in their fun red car.

We went looking for them afterwards and only found their car.

I texted Suzie to let her know I tried to find them.

Then we went for ice cream just up the road from where they were parked.

 We ate outside and then met Suzie's parents afterwards (she had texted her mom and was like, Where are you guys?! Ha ha). That was fun. What a small world!

Pretty mountain on the way back up the highway to our cabin in the pretty summer evening light.

We played some Hearts when we returned home. We discovered through the cabin journal that Terry had learned that game when he was Evie's age so it was fun that we taught all of us while we were at the cabin like he had been.

Shuffle shuffle.

Mommy wrote in our trip journal during the shuffling times.

Putting those boys to bed in the loft that night I guess I thought I needed a couple pictures.

And of Evie too on the opposite side of the loft.

All three of them. Good night to our fourth day in Montana!
