Right when the Box Maze was set to begin, we had a massive winter storm dubbed Oliver pummel the area. Well, although it could have been much worse (Atlas anyone? Day one, two, three), the timing was poor due to all the help I thought we'd lose on the construction of the Maze. Thankfully I was wrong and those who couldn't come were perhaps outnumbered by those that did.
Due to recovering from sickness, we waited two whole days before we let the kids even play outside in it. Even Trouncer "enjoyed it."
Samuel had been fever free post Influenza B for several days so I let him play outside for only like twenty minutes. He spiked a fever afterwards. No more snow for him ever! ;)
Everyone else did well in it with the extra cold frigid temperatures. There's a nice little smirk from Ezra.
Samuel and Evie attempting to build a tunnel like they did for Atlas, but there's wasn't near as much snow as back then.
Noah preparing to fall backwards into the snow.
Plop.
And immediately Luna came zooming by and coated him with snow as if that's what she meant to do. Ha ha ha!
Noah jumping off the side of the porch.
Plop on the pile.
Ezra jumping from the front of the porch.
Love his expression.
We discovered that Terry had dug a little path for Luna on the side of the yard too. I like Luna's ears flopping madly at the bottom of the picture as she runs towards Noah.
Still going after that tunnel.
Another plop by Noah, this time coming out of the slide.
Ezra on the side path. So much snow!
I had just cut Luna's hair a week or so before and all the snow stuck to it.
She's a good snow dog.
I was impressed by the snow hanging off the roof.
I went out front to document the snow up there. Thankfully our neighbor cleaned our driveway with his side-by-side and the attached plow.
Our house looked so pretty!
Looking down our sidewalk. Okay, these are silly photos so maybe I just wanted to take pictures with my new camera. It does do pretty great!
Then I went up to our upstairs bedroom to take pictures from above. Lotza snow.
Ezra had fallen and he couldn't get up. ;)
Always a smile from Evie.
Noah jumping from the other side of the deck.
Noah was preparing to throw this giant snowball at Evie and I caught the progression.
The mid-air flight...
...impact! Ha!
She dusted herself off and proceeded to slowly lick a small snowball.
After quite a while I called in Noah and Evie who were making snow recliners for themselves. The snow is half melted back there now and those recliners still stick up higher than the rest, all made of ice now.
