We were anxious to return home from Terry's licensing interview in Denver on March 15 because there was supposed to be a winter storm arriving that night. Thankfully we made it in plenty of time. But the next morning, Friday, we had several inches of fresh, heavy snow ready to be frolicked about in.
Lotza white from our back door.
We got more after this so in total we had around eight inches or so.
Generally we don't get very wet snow around here since it's so dry. Springs storms are great for moisture though and we need it so badly so I don't complain! The last pine tree in our row was sagging under the weight. Usually it's a few feet off the ground but here it's weighted all the way down. There's Luna looking checking it out like, "What in the world?!"
That afternoon the boys went to work clearing everything off.
What a good helper Samuel is growing into.
And what a fat kitty Trouncer is growing into. 😂
Time to play!
Daddy always make a big pile for the kids to break through on their way down the slide. I like that leg working it's way out all breach like. Ha!
During a breach delivery the most dangerous part is getting the head out...
...so luckily Samuel was able to pull his out. 😆
Daddy shook off that heavily laden branch.
Adding more snow to the pile.
I love capturing Luna's ears flapping when she's running. Cracks me up.
Now that is a very big boy coming out now. Must be overdue...
Pushing up on the slide to pull himself out. Ouch to the slide!
That slide will never recover after Noah came through. 😉
Snowy puppy.
This looks all cute but the kids were getting a lecture over something they did wrong.
She's always digging with her nose like she's a dog or something.
Daddy helped our neighbor shovel his heavy snow.
Meanwhile I stayed inside, busy baking up a different kind of storm - gluten free chocolate muffins and gluten full chocolate chip cookies. I'm addicted to these muffins.
My first attempt at gluten free thin crust pizza dough from King Arthur.
Gluten full and gluten free.
Turned out delicious, but not as filling. My mouth is watering as I type. For reals.
The following day was beautifully clear and blue.
But I had to go to work. Terry took the kids to Meadowbrook to sled, like a stallion. Usually there's never this much snow!
Some footage of the littles.
Samuel and his silly sideways hat.
A rare direct smile from Ezra.
Big kids! Seriously, they're huge.
Meanwhile at work... 😂
Samuel is being eaten alive by sleds!
Littles ready to go. And Ezra doing what...? Peeking through a rectangle.
So white at work! This is looking up towards Catron Blvd.
And almost time to go home. 👍
