crawling Ezra

It's only been a month since Ezra started pushing himself up and already he's on to army crawling!

Two weeks ago Evie called our attention to Ezra while we were all hanging out one evening, "Look! Ezra's crawling!" We all craned our necks to confirm this. He was on his belly and I could just barely distinguish his little toes pushing himself forward. And then it was bedtime. But the next day, he certainly did start army crawling for certain. At first he mostly used his toes to push off and kind of launch himself forward in very small increments. Since then he's started using his arms to pull himself along also. He's still rocking on hands and knees but seems to prefer getting around this way.

He's had a couple very close calls with the stairs...like when I went to the bathroom a few days ago... He seems to be drawn to them. Terry caught him at it Saturday morning before he went to work.

He would have launched himself over them if Terry hadn't stopped him. He is growing too fast! As of last Friday he is officially eight months old. We were hanging out with Shari and her family this last weekend for Samuel and Grace's birthdays and we observed that Ezra seems to have never been as little as their new baby Sarah. It just goes so fast. And yet I'm definitely ready for some freedom.
